Nuclear engineering students have worked on various projects over the past years
they have several patents and scientific publications, the most prominent of which are as follows:

Manufacturing low cost gaseous radiation detector.

Using 3D printing technology to create a radiation protection shield for cancer patients.

A new chemical dosimeter for slow neutrons Using a mixture of chromium hexadecimal and gadolinium.

Simulation of wastewater treatment using high-energy electrons to remove toxic chromium.

Using artificial intelligence to investigate biomarkers for early detection of breast cancer

Calculation of thermal and superthermal neutron flux and gamma doses in a medical cyclotron facility

Historic Brief

The Department of Nuclear Engineering was established within the departments of the College of Engineering, which was established in 1394/1395 AH (1977 AD). And due to the importance of this specialization; we have taken into consideration that it meets the current and future needs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
